We are excited to welcome our incoming freshmen for orientation day on August 27th!
Freshmen will report to school as normal. Doors open at 7:00 AM. The 1st period bell rings at 7:15 AM with the tardy bell at 7:18 AM. Please eat school breakfast! We will have a meeting in the auditorium, then students will attend classes - getting familiar with their schedules and meeting teachers.
Parents are invited to join us at 1:00 PM for an important meeting where we’ll discuss the upcoming school year, school rules, and opportunities for your child.
We look forward to seeing all of you there and kicking off a great year together! Let’s go, Warriors!!!
This is a notification for parents of all newly enrolled preschool and kindergarten students, as well as all incoming first grade students and second grade students who had been considered at risk following last year’s screening. The West Virginia Department of Education Child Find Initiative requires that a screening be conducted to assess your child’s speech and language skills to ensure that their communication is within their developmental age level. Results of each screening will be sent home with your child, and if further evaluation is necessary you will be contacted by the speech language pathologist. If you do not wish to have your child’s speech screened, please contact the school to let them know that as soon as possible. It is our goal to ensure that every student in Wyoming County Schools receives the most effective educational experience.
