🌿💚 Outdoor Learning at Its Best! 💚🌿 Mrs. Bauer, Ms. Cardwell, and Mrs. Saunders brought science to life with a hands-on biodiversity unit at Twin Falls State Park! Students explored local ecosystems, gathered research for papers on solving real-world ecological issues, and connected directly with nature. 🌎💦 Exploring the Guyandotte! Honors 9th and 10th Grade Earth & Space Science and Biology students had an awesome day at the Guyandotte River, exploring their local watershed with Sarah Prior from the WVDEP and Jasper Gue, a Watershed Improvement AmeriCorps*VISTA! 🏞️ The Guyandotte’s pH was 6–7, and students discovered great biodiversity among the benthic macroinvertebrates 🦞 — a strong indicator of clean water! 💧 If these Warriors had a million dollars to develop the area, they’d add creative touches like statues of their esteemed A.B. and even capybara farms — but don’t worry, they’ve got a plan to mitigate any new pollution that might come with it! 🙌🚮 #WarriorPride #BornToBattle #ScienceInAction #HandsOnLearning #WVDEP #AmeriCorpsVISTA #GuyandotteRiver #STEMEducation #WatershedWarriors #CleanWater #Biodiversity #EnvironmentalScience

📏💚 Our Geometry Warriors were on the move today—literally! Students reviewed how to calculate the distance of a line relay-style. Team members each had a role: 1️⃣ Graphed the coordinates 2️⃣ Identified the x and y values 3️⃣ Plugged them into the formula 4️⃣ Entered them into the calculator 5️⃣ Checked and reviewed the work Then they rotated positions to take on new challenges!
