Wyoming East’s Friends of the Earth club presented ways to reduce plastic pollution to Pineville Elementary’s 3rd & 4th graders. The elementary students are now recycling experts, and they are finishing their “Together Totes” in class tomorrow so that they can skip using a plastic bag. After learning about microplastics and what can be recycled at East, they cleaned up the litter at Palisades Park. Congratulations to Chandra Hodges and the Wyoming East horticulture class for winning a $500 grant from the Sodexo Stop the Hunger foundation.
